The End Of Time 4

Well I am sorry to say that so far 'Torchwood: Children Of Earth' doesn't get any better for me the more times I watch it... Early days though, I'll keep on trying!

On the other hand 'The End Of Time Part II' has just the opposite effect - mostly - despite of David Tennant... but because of dear old Bernard Cribbins, Donna and (of course) the wonderfully over-the-top performance by John Simm as The Multiple Manic Master!!!

Alas I do think that both Tennant AND RTD have worn their welcome out and have probably picked an ideal time for both of them to retreat quietly into the pages of history (pun intended.)

I mean how many new funny faces can viewers honestly expect Tennant to keep coming up with. His ability to 'gurn' can only stretch so far "Hmmm, new teeth!" can only be done a few hundred thousand ways after all.

The Time Lords returning? I never bought the lie that they'd ever left in the first place, The Doctor's obviously been manipulated since Ecclestone's tenure...

Actually comparing Torchwood to Doctor Who is a bit of a pointless exercise - a bit like trying to compare apples and oranges... but IMO DW was definitely the stronger of the two series. TW definitely lost it's way as a spin-off from DW.

Never mind... many thanks to RTD and David, together they provided a most enjoyable journey.

I'll try and keep my comments a little less verbose for the next few EOT submissions.
